Livestock
At Townings Farm we enjoy keeping traditional and rare breeds of farm animals, they tend to be hardier calmer and posses many qualities such as good mothering skills, which have often been bred out of the more commercial animals. These traditional animals tend to grow slower than their commercial cousins and do not grow as large, this makes them undesirable for commercial/factory type farming. But the flavour is far superior and they are much more interesting to work with.
The mothering skills of our stock is very important as our animals are reared naturally by there own mothers.
