Gluten-Free Biscuits for Cheese – made with butter, raw cane sugars, and local linseed meal.
In the past, bakers would have sourced many ingredients from their local area. We use linseed meal grown and processed by Durwin Banks & his family at Barns Green in West Sussex. It was this fine product, with its delicious nutty flavour, that inspired Lesley to create her range of biscuits.
Delicious served plain or with cheese. Since the 1980s there has been a magnificent revival in the production of artisan-made British cheese. Sussex cheesemakers are part of this success story, so it seemed fitting to create a distinctive, sweet Sussex biscuit that would complement their fine products.
Salted Butter (Milk) (27%), Sussex Linseed Meal (16%), Gluten-Free Oat Bran, Cornflour, Rice Flour, Muscovado Sugar (11%), Black Treacle, Raising agent – gluten-free (disodium diphosphate and sodium hydrogen carbonate, rice flour), Sea Salt.
